3:00 am : my favourite place – my bed

Good Morning Yahweh. Thank you for today. Thank you for your love. Thank you for provision. Sigh. I don’t want to do it. But if that’s what I am to do, I will. The vehicle needs servicing and as I look at my salary I’m not seeing how to pay for it. But it also feels as if me juggling – and it would be a real juggle – the budget feels like giving up hope in your provision. And it’s funny – there are so many things owed to me that would easily cover the repairs but I haven’t received them and I don’t know what to do. “Don’t worry” at times is easier said than done.

And I’m sorry: I’m borderline complaining. Deep breath. Yahweh, please show me what to do. Are these songs from you?

Stand Still and Know – Deitrick Haddon

Where do I go? – Bill and Gloria Gaither

After asking, “What to do?” the song, “Stand Still” came to mind. But I also silently asked, “Where do I go?” and the song also followed, “but to the Lord.” Yahweh, this is where I feel I need your clear word on this issue. I know my mind thinks in songs – so truthfully in this instance I don’t know if it’s my mind thinking in songs or you speaking. Should I stand still and wait on you? Or am I supposed to figure out based on this month’s salary? And it sounds monumentally stupid as I look at the question.

Should I wait on you? The answer is yes. I will wait on your direction. On your provision. Because even with “juggling” my salary, I’m not likely to make a way. But you are a – correction – THE Master Waymaker. You make rivers in desert land. You make roads in the sea. You can and will make a way. Help my unbelief and I pray for your continued watch and protection as I am driving. Your care over the vehicle. You hold it in your hands. Thank you Yahweh for who you are.

Thank you for  being my father, my friend, my provider. Let your will be done in my life. Open my heart to always see you – to hear you. I love you, Yahweh.

Psalm 18:2 – The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my Savior, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the strength of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 18:2 (KJV) – The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

David sang this song to the Lord when he rescued him from all his enemies, especially Saul.

My rock: sela : a crag, cliff, rock

Fortress : Matsulod : castle, net, prey, defense, fortress, be hunted, snare, strong place.

Deliverer : palat : to escape, rescue, preserve, carries it off.

God : El : God, Mighty One, power, strong.

Strength : Tsur : rock, cliff, strength, sharp, edge.

It’s interesting to see that cliffs/rocks are defined as strength. Solid. Because it’s usually places that can seem scary. Where we may easily fall or get blown over by the winds associated with cliffs. But in the Bible they are places of strength. I will stand in you, Yahweh. You are my strength.

Buckler : Magen/Meginnah : shield, armed, scales.

Horn : Qeren : Horn, hill, might, strength, tusks.

Salvation : Yesha : Deliverance, rescue, salvation, safety, welfare, liberty, prosperity.

This looks so much like Yeshua – which does mean, He will save.

Stronghold : Misgab : A secure height, retreat, stronghold, unassailable.

Yahweh, thank you for the many aspects of you. You are everything we need. Thank you for being in our lives. I love you.

Philippians 4:13 –  I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.
