I had a meeting this afternoon and was asked the question, “What don’t you do on Sabbaths?” My response, “Whatever God tells me not to do.” The follow up question was unexpected but there was no hesitation in my response, “Do you actually hear God tell you things?” I said yes. Then he came back, “Like actually hear or you just know?” I said, “Both. But yes, I actually do hear him.” He drew back.

The thing is, I can understand his surprise, but I did ask him, “Is it so hard to believe?” He said, he wasn’t sure, but that it was really good.

The truth is, the first time I heard Yahweh speak to me, I had no doubt that it was him. That was years ago. But then there was radio silence for years. Granted the silence was due to me not listening, but I thought it was him not speaking. While I don’t know if I will hear his voice (voice, voice) everyday – that would be beyond awesome – he is speaking everyday and I have to live with that expectation that he will speak. That he wants to speak with us. He wants us to listen and respond. And truly everyday I am thankful for our relationship. Thank you. I pray that he will hear you when you speak to him. That he would be open to what you say. I pray that he will ask you at all times and learn of you. To know your voice.

John 10:27 –  My sheep respond to my voice, and I know who they are. They follow me

TODAY’S THANKFUL TALLY

  1. Hearing and knowing Yahweh’s voice.
  2. Getting home safely tonight. As I was turning a corner, a truck swung out from in front of me (He was parked). I was preparing to swing to the right to pass him because he was parked. I had to mash sudden brakes because he drove right where I was going to drive. His lights were not on and he did not even indicate. Thank you for your continued protection. Thank you.
  3. Thank you from a customer for my staff.
  4. Ezekiel 34-36
