Bring Ye All the Tithes

What happens when ovulation pain and pain from a ruptured cyst combine? You are pretty much unable to walk properly. I had to buy medication to drain the cyst.  Sigh. The things that sin has caused. I pray that the pain recedes for the hike tomorrow. 

Yahweh, thank you for life, for your goodness and mercy. You have been consistent in everything and I just want to say thank you. 

P.s. I found a solution for the pens. I will no longer be using black as my main writing colour. I had to adapt based on cost and availability and I got a pack of the blue pens with the same type of tip for 1/3 the cost of the same amount of the black pens. Covid really have the cost of living going up, while the rich are getting richer. But I will look not look on man with their schemes, I will look to you.

It is interesting to know that if the top 10 richest persons in the world give 10% of what they have, to those in need, everyone will be taken care of. The truth is, how many homes, cars etc can you have? And use at the same time? Smh. I’ll admit, it would be nice to have money. But I genuinely like the simple things in life with the occasional splurge. Thank you for the way that you have taken care of me and this family. Thank you for providing for our needs and for being my strength.

(Note to self: I was a little confused as to why I thought to do something on tithes. In recording, I realised that it had to do with the 10%. I was half way out of it last week). 

Tithe: the 10th part.

Genesis 28:22 – This stone that I have set up as a marker will be the house of God, and I will surely give you a tenth of everything you give me.

Jacob vowed to give a tenth of all that Yahweh gives to him. 

Numbers 18:26 – I give to the Levites all the tithes in Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the 10th of meeting. 

I do believe in giving / returning/ whatever word preferred tithes. My problem comes with what the funds are used for. It does bother me especially when the church’s duties are expected to be completed by volunteers and persons are not being paid. How can we ensure that all those who serve the church are supported by the church? 

Something I have to remember, rest is an important part of recovery. So is fuel.  

You have already ordered my steps, so I don’t have to worry about failure. Yes there may be disappointment, but disappointment is not failure.

Psalm 37:23 – A person’s steps are directed by the Lord, and the Lord delights in his ways.

The power, favour and resources of Yahweh are bent toward the path that he has set up for you. Yahweh will not anoint what is not ordained. So if we are not on the path, Yahweh will not be able to bless it.
