A Portion of This, A Portion of That.

Yahweh, forgive me. I truly did not mean to get angry. I didn’t show my anger to them but I was. Why is it so hard to have people who understand? It actually hurts and it makes me truly realise why the world is in the state that it is in. Yahweh, help us to understand, to see beyond our nose. We need help.

It’s the end of the day. Thank you for your protection, your direction. Yahweh, help me to be honest in my dealings, and my thoughts. Thank you for loving me. There’s a lot of work and little staff. I pray for the strength to make it through each day. Thank you for who you are, you are my everything.

Portion: The exact amount of something that we need.

Psalm 16:5 – The Lord is my chosen and assigned portion, my cup; you hold and maintain my lot. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yes I have a good heritage.

Do I feel full at this moment? Yes. There are needs that have not been met yet, but there is assurance that there’s provision: sufficient for today. That is very filling. It is a comfort to the soul.

Yahweh. What is my portion? How exactly would this be defined? I don’t think it’s possible to quantify this:

Portion of the Holy spirit.

Portion of talent.

Portion of health.

Portion of wealth.

Portion of family and friends.

I don’t think that we can truly say, but what we can ask is for Yahweh to supply. We can ask him to guide and trust him, because at the end since he provides, he is my portion. He is all I need. All else will follow.

Thank you for being my portion, for being all I need. Help me to trust you and to remain you in the midst of deceit. Let your power flow and be my shield. Because they’re coming fast and furious and at the end of the day, you are still in control and I’m happy about that.

Sigh. More and more you see where people are choosing to follow the father of lies. And more and more, I see that there was no need to lie. (There is never a need, but I can understand if someone is being pressured, still wrong, but pressured). But more and more are lying for no other apparent reason but to lie. It is a bit scary.
