2 Samuel 22:18 – He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, because they were too strong for me.

This says a lot. So often we’re afraid to admit that someone is too strong for us so we set our faces and bear up. But Yahweh can fight for us once we allow him to. When we admit that we can’t.

2 Samuel 24:11 – When David got up in the morning, the Lord spoke his word to the prophet Gad, David’s seer.

One of the things that is obvious. Even though Yahweh are with kings and leaders, he always had a prophet “assigned” to the leader. As a counter-balance. What happens if a leader does not have a prophet?
