2 Chronicles 3:17 – He set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right and the other on the left. He named the one on the right Jachin [He Establishes] and the one on the left Boaz [In Him Is Strength].

I have always loved that the pillars were named. I also loved the names. Whenever you looked at the pillars that supported the structure of the temple, you are reminders of the one who establishes and strengthens.

2 Chronicles 5:10 – There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets Moses placed there at Horeb, where the Lord made a promise to the Israelites after they left Egypt.

I’m curious. Wasn’t the rod from Aaron also supposed to be in the ark? (Numbers 17:10). And yes I totally expect it to be preserved there all these years. And what about the manna? (Exodus 16:34). I’m just asking.

2 Chronicles 6:35 – then hear their prayer for mercy in heaven, and do what is right for them.

Intriguing choice of words. He didn’t say, let them win the war, but do what is right. They can win or lose, but it will be what is right. Sometimes what is right is losing the battle, but winning the war.
